The Power of Influence

Doctors Gave Him 6 Months to Live. He Refused to Give Up | Kenny Berbick

Episode Notes

In this powerful episode of The Power of Influence, John sits down with Kenny and Elin for an emotional conversation about what happens when life changes in an instant.

At just 41 years old, Kenny was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer after years of symptoms that came and went. What began with unexplained weight loss, stomach issues, changes in bowel movements, and other warning signs eventually led to a diagnosis that completely changed the way he and his family look at life.

Kenny and Aline open up about the shock of hearing the word “terminal,” navigating chemotherapy and clinical trials, the importance of having the right support system, and the role that hope, faith, and mindset have played throughout the journey.

But Kenny’s story is about more than cancer.

Before his diagnosis, much of his world revolved around business, social media, and everyday responsibilities. Today, he says his purpose has changed. His mission is to use his influence to encourage others to pay attention to their bodies, stop putting off their health, and get checked when something doesn’t feel right.

That message is already having an impact. Kenny shares how people have approached him after seeing his videos and told him they went for testing because of his story—some discovering cancer they didn’t even know they had.

This conversation is a reminder of how quickly our priorities can change, how valuable time really is, and how one person’s willingness to share their story can potentially influence someone else to take action.

If something feels wrong, don’t ignore it. Your health is worth taking seriously.
